Antigua, land of 365 beaches, one for every day of the year, is famous for its sailing, its picturesque historical forts, and cricket.  Antigua Sailing Week, one of the top rated regattas in the world, is held each year in early May and attracts hundreds of boats from around the world.  English Harbour in Antigua was the home base of the British Navy under the direction of Admiral Horatio Nelson and today Nelson’s Dockyard is a prime historical landmark and the home for yachts visiting the island. Antigua’s other major passion is cricket and the Antigua Recreation Ground has been the site of many record-breaking feats in international cricket.

Getting to Antigua is very easy as it is the main hub for airlines servicing the northern Caribbean.  You can also cruise into their fine facilities at Heritage Quay and Redcliffe Quay, or sail into Jolly Harbour where there are berths for over 100 yachts and a spectacular complex including casino, shops, an 18-hole golf course and waterfront villas.  More ...
